Hi leaders,
The biggest issue holding our groups back is their failure to multiply. I've struggled with this myself, and I've heard the same from many of you. This challenge almost always stems from one root cause: we aren't consistently developing new leaders. When leadership remains centralized, groups stagnate. When leadership multiplies, groups stay healthy, and people continue to find places to belong and grow.
This week, we begin a series of emails that will provide direction, encouragement, and practical challenges to help you develop leaders in your group.
Here's where we are going over the next five weeks:
Our mission at Church at the Grove is two-fold: to reach people far from Christ and to lead them to become followers of Jesus. Our goal isn't simply to fill auditoriums with people, but to both reach AND disciple them. As our church and community grow rapidly, we must create more environments where people can connect and grow in their faith. This allows us to be faithful to the Lord's calling and be good stewards of the people He is sending us. We must get this right!
Next week, I'll send a short note on spotting potential leaders. For now, would you join me in praying for the Lord to reveal new leaders in your group and to give them the confidence and training they need to lead? If you are praying, would you reply to this email simply saying - “PRAYING!”
I am deeply grateful for each one of you!
Nathan
