Why this exists
We want groups that think outward, dream big, and love our neighbors in creative ways. This grant gives your group a little fuel to try something fresh that builds relationships and blesses your community.
What it is
- Up to $1,000 to help your group run a specific outreach idea
- A simple, friendly “Shark Tank” style pitch so we can cheer you on and steward funds well
- A sandbox to experiment, learn, and create models that other groups can copy
Who can jump in
- Any active Community Group at Church at the Grove
- Teams of groups are welcome. Teamwork = more reach!
What we’ll fund
- Max request: $1,000 per proposal
- Great uses: permits, venue fees, kids activities, printing, materials, food for guests, rentals or gear needed for the event
- Not so great: regular group snacks, gifts for your own group, routine curriculum, international travel, honoraria not tied to outreach, personal gear to keep, cash giveaways without a thoughtful engagement plan
The usual rhythm
- Groups can apply at any time, and applications will be reviewed by our elders at the beginning of each month.
- Review: within 2 weeks
- Hear back: by week 3
- Once approved, the church can either purchase items on your behalf or reimburse group members, provided we have the receipts.
